This spring we had some fun with the daffodil sessions (though it was SO very cold that day.... we had a big heavy warm blanket just off camera to keep the kids from freezing between shots) but they were troopers! Last year it was perfect weather, so you just never know.

So often we moms forget to include ourselves in the pictures with our children, either because we're the ones taking the pictures, or because we think it's only the kids we're trying to capture. But when your children are older, they'll want to see mom in there too, and not just mom, but them WITH their mom. Those will be the images that mean the most to them.

SPRING is in the air! Do you feel it? 

So, you all know that I had been searching high and low for a couple of years for a big daffodil field to do spring sessions in.... last year I was driving by Gilfillan Farm and out of the corner of my eye - BOOM - there it was! I went to talk with the nice owners and not only do I get to shoot there year round but we've set up a mini session event as a fundraiser for the farm and the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair (which owns and maintains the farm). 

I added a couple of images at the beginning of my website from a session there last year. 

So here's the info:

Date: Saturday, April 17th (rain date April 24th)

Sessions are $350 and include:

~ 15-20 minute session with me

~ 5+ fully edited digital files plus a professional 5x7 print of each

Half of the proceeds will benefit the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair and the Gilfillan Farm.

Father's Day mini sessions are back again!

Last year I did mini sessions featuring children and their moms with the idea that these would make fantastic gifts to give dad for Father's Day. They were a hit and I've received lots of requests to do them again this year.

What better way for Dad to keep his family close at work than to have meaningful custom portraits in his office?

The Details

When: Saturday May 17th, either in the morning or late afternoon (indicate preference)

Where: This year we're going to do them at one of my new favorite locations... it's just past Robinson Town Center in Moon Township. Yes... it's a bit of a drive, but it's gorgeous and has lots of different features there to use, including an old log cabin, a large stone wall with ivy, a gazebo, a cottage garden (though flowers aren't blooming there, there's a rustic picket fence and bench), carriage doors, beautiful paths, and lots of trails. Once you book I'll send you directions, but it's very easy to find.

Cost: $250 (normally $350) including a 30 minute session, a private online gallery and a $150 print credit OR 2 digital files and a 5x7 of each.

The second annual Snuggle Bugs Spring Consignment Event will be held March 7th through the 10th at Century III Mall in a LARGE store space next to JC Penney. This stuff is all name brand, quality kids clothes (no *mart anything) and there will be scores of vendors (last year they had 125 I believe and this year they're expected to double!).

So if you have stuff you want to sell (commissions are high here... you get to keep at least 70% of the sale of you item), or if you're in the market to buy some quality clothes at great prices, check out this event.
